ARNEL MARDOQUIO
playwright-librettist
is a playwright, poet, storyteller, theatre director, actor, and lyricist. He recently won the Palanca (2003) for Short Story in Cebuano. Within 17 years as a playwright, Arnel has written several plays, including the following major productions: Tanod ng Dayuhang Agila (KAFI, 1986), Bulawan (KAFI, 1986), Bakwiter (KAFI, 1987), Adlaw Bulan (KAFI, 1988), Tagay (KAFI, 1989), Siak sa Duha Ka Damgo (Kaliwat Theatre Collective, 1991), Tulo ka Baye (1990), Noli Me Tangere sa Entablado (1992), Birds' Flight to the East (Asian Migrants Theatre Company, HK 2001), and Taytayan (2003).
